We offer a number of different e-bikes options including electric bikes, dockless bike-sharing, e-bikes at 2 facilities located in the central part of Hartford, and 10 road bikes for rent. We also offer secure storage and cage parking for bicycle enthusiasts who want to leave their car at home while they enjoy the sights of Hartford on two wheels.

BIKE.co has been buying, selling, and repairing bicycles in Hartford since 1974. Our staff is committed to helping cyclists of all levels get more enjoyment out of riding bikes. BIKE.co offers a full range of repair services, including flat fixes by the hour, 8 different levels of tune-ups (they adjust brakes and gears too), and complete overhauls for vintage bikes. We also sell bicycles at affordable prices and accessories to make your bike run smoothly.

The company was founded by two longtime friends: A professional bike mechanic who has toured the world on his bike; and a bike enthusiast and advocate who sells his own line of clothing. We aim to help grow bike culture in Connecticut by connecting cyclists with each other and providing education and skills building opportunities. Once you’ve picked the bike you love, we make it your own with personal bike customization and building experience. BIKE.co works with you to create the perfect bike. Your creative passions come to life with our specialized bike painting studios, leather ateliers, custom builders and craftspeople, and unique retailers from around the world.
Our BIKE.co team works in our shop in Hartford to create awesome handcrafted bicycles. From a classic European tourer to a long-travel trail bike, we make it all. Our mission is to enable riders to more easily “build” or “customize” their own bike. We design, manufacture, distribute and sell the kit for frame building and parts needed to change (or build) the components on a bicycle.
BIKE.co now offers even more customization options, so you can build your bike online, choosing from our huge selection of parts and accessories, including high-end components from Shimano, Zee, and RaceFace, while adding your own personal touches with custom paint, decals, and more. We believe in the active lifestyle, the community surrounding it, and we think it’s something that really resonates with people of all ages. Our goal is to bring a new perspective towards custom bikes, and to show you how much fun and fulfilling it can be to create and share your own bike ideas with us.
