Hickory Bike Company wants to provide a unique and memorable experience through our bicycles, our location, and overall customer service. We love what we do and strive to show others the fun of riding bicycles by means of our direct approach to the transportation system.
Our fleet includes top-of-the-line mountain bikes, road bikes, bikes with trailers for hauling kids and cargo, cruisers, and tandems. With a rental bike from Hickory Bike, you can ride just about anywhere in town. We have designated our fleet of upright city bikes as available for daily rental to help you explore and enjoy the City of Hickory. All rental rates include a helmet, a lock, and a map highlighting local shops and restaurants for your convenience.
Our mission is to be the best bike shop in Hickory. Our trained staff makes sure all bikes are tuned up & working. Our focus is on helping people find and try out bikes, and get the most out of cycling while having fun. That includes renting high-quality, brand new bikes to our customers who enjoy the cycling experience, but don’t want to own a bike or when riding their own bicycles is not convenient. e-BIKE TUNE-UPS & SERVICE
Tuning up your bike is a preventive process and qualifies as simple maintenance. Tuning your bike will increase the efficiency of all of its moving parts, which in turn will reduce wear and tear on the bicycle. A tuned-up bike is better equipped for beating tough terrains and inclement weather.
At Hickory Bike Company, we provide reliable tune-ups. Our services include a standard safety check of the bike, light adjustment, chain check, and lubrication, tightening of bolts and fasteners, replacement tires and tubes, including inner tubes, installation of lights and reflectors according to city code, removing unwanted cables from handlebars, mounting water bottle cages and racks on either front or rear wheels, installing bells on handlebars and helmets, or fixing squeaky brakes.
Whether you’re looking to tune up your bike or want us to take it over entirely, our teams of experts will help you choose the best plan. We’re a full-service shop and offer a wide range of services from bike fittings, custom wheel building, a state-of-the-art paint and powder coating department, to repairs and installations from shorts swaps to entire new builds.
