The short version
Bikedesk is built specifically for bike shops. Its site describes a point of sale that runs on an iPad or a PC, a workshop system for creating repairs and seeing full customer history, automatic texts for repairs and service reminders, and an online booking form that goes on your website and creates a job card when a rider books.
BIKE.co is the erp.io Service module set up for bike repair. Requests, quotes, work orders with visits, a week schedule, time tracking, checklists and invoicing are live today. Online slot booking, bike records, texts to riders and payment links are on the Service roadmap.
If you want a bike-specific booking, POS and workshop system working this season, Bikedesk has it. If you want a service workflow from quote to invoice now and the wider erp.io suite in one login, BIKE.co is the one to trial.
What Bikedesk does well
Bikedesk's booking page lays out a clean flow. The rider enters a phone number and is matched to an existing customer profile, picks from services you have defined, sees only the times you actually have free, and describes the bike, so the mechanic knows what to prepare. The booking form embeds on your website, riders can book around the clock, and each booking creates a job card that syncs with the POS and the mechanics' schedule.
The workshop side creates a repair in a few clicks, shows previous repairs and full customer history, sends automatic texts for repairs and service reminders, and gives an overview of when the shop is busy and who is doing what. A job with item numbers goes straight to payment in the POS.
Beyond the workshop, Bikedesk lists supplier master data from Nordic suppliers such as Shimano and Cycle Service Nordic, stock counts using a phone camera as a scanner, a payments product with terminals and payment links sent by text or email, an accounting integration with e-conomic, and a catalog of apps and integrations including Shopify and Mailchimp. It supports chain stores and is used in several European countries.

Where BIKE.co is different
BIKE.co is not a POS and does not carry supplier data. It is service software that sits on the erp.io suite. The planned booking flow in Service lets riders pick drop-off slots from bench capacity you set, and Phony, the erp.io AI receptionist, is planned to book into that same availability when the Service booking tool ships. Today Phony can answer the phone, which on its own takes some pressure off the counter on a Saturday.
What you can use now is the path from request to invoice. Publish a checklist at a public link, optionally behind an email code with spam protection, and riders fill in a pre-service questionnaire that lands in your Requests inbox. You quote it with optional lines, convert the approved quote into a job with visits on the week schedule, and bill it when the work is done. Your tune-up, safety or e-bike diagnostic standard lives in versioned checklist templates that mechanics fill with photos and a signature, and a required checklist has to be in before a visit closes.
Beyond Service, erp.io gives you Accounting for the books, CFO for forecasting the season, ATS for hiring, Courses for training, Chat between counter and bench, and Sign for waivers and rental agreements, all in the same workspace.

Who should pick Bikedesk
Pick Bikedesk if you want a bike-specific POS, workshop and online booking system working this season, particularly if you are in one of the European markets it serves and order from the Nordic suppliers whose data it carries. Its booking flow, job cards, customer history and automatic texts are all described on its own site as available now.
BIKE.co makes more sense if you want quotes, jobs, time and invoices built on a written, versioned checklist standard now, and if you want the rest of your business, from the phone to the books to hiring, in the erp.io suite. If online slot booking is the one thing you need before spring, Bikedesk has it today and BIKE.co does not.
