BIKE.co vs Jobber
Jobber is mature field-service software used by home-service businesses, with native apps, Tap to Pay and a long feature list. BIKE.co is built on the same service-first idea for bike shops, with its core live and several pieces still on the roadmap.

The short version
Jobber is general field-service software. Its features page covers requests, quotes, online booking, work orders, scheduling with map routing, a client portal, automated reminders and two-way texting, invoicing, online payments, Tap to Pay, job costing, a business dashboard, QuickBooks Online sync, an AI Receptionist add-on and marketing tools. It has native iPhone and Android apps. It is a finished, mature product.
The erp.io Service module was planned against Jobber feature by feature; BIKE.co is that module set up for bike repair. Today requests, quotes with optional lines, work orders with visits, a week schedule, time tracking, invoicing, reports and an installable field app are live. Online booking, the client portal, customer texts, online payments, job costing and routing are on the Service roadmap.
If you need a complete field-service system this season, especially for a mobile van, Jobber is the more complete choice today. If you want software that understands bikes and a suite that covers the rest of the business, BIKE.co is the one to watch.
What Jobber does well
Jobber is strong at the whole path from first call to payment. Requests come in through forms, quotes go out with optional add-ons, customers can self-schedule through online booking, and work orders carry job details, checklists and tracking. The schedule shows jobs on a map and notifies the team. The client portal lets customers see requests, quotes, appointments and payments.
In the field, the Jobber app handles job details, time tracking, GPS waypoints and checklists, and Jobber's help center describes Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android, which turns the phone into a contactless card reader with no extra hardware, alongside a Jobber card reader. Automated reminders, two-way texting and push notifications keep customers and crews informed.
For the office, Jobber lists job costing with materials, labor and expenses, a business dashboard, expense tracking, QuickBooks Online sync, and integrations including Stripe, Zapier, CompanyCam and Mailchimp. Stock tracking is handled through a marketplace integration with Ply, according to Jobber's product updates.

Where BIKE.co is different
Jobber knows clients and properties. BIKE.co is planned to know bikes. In the Service plan each bike is a record with serial, owner, size, components and every past repair, so when a rider brings the same bike back you can see last spring's chain wear reading and the brake pads you fitted. In a general field-service app, that lives in a free-text note on the customer.
Parts are the other gap the plan targets. Service is planned to have real inventory: stock locations for the shop and each van, usage on work orders, reorder points and purchase orders. That is phase P8 on the roadmap. Jobber handles stock through a marketplace integration.
And BIKE.co is the whole erp.io suite in one login: Phony answers the phone, Accounting keeps the books, CFO forecasts the season, ATS hires mechanics, Courses trains them, Chat connects the counter and the bench. The field app is a deliberate trade-off: web only, installable and offline-first, with camera and signature in the browser but no Tap to Pay and no App Store app.

Who should pick Jobber
Pick Jobber if you need a complete field-service system now, and especially if you run a mobile repair van and want Tap to Pay, a native phone app and route planning today. Jobber's own pages describe all of these as available, and BIKE.co has none of them working yet.
Pick Jobber, too, if bike-specific records and parts stock are not a priority and you would rather have a mature general tool than a specialized one that is still being built.
BIKE.co makes more sense if you want the quote-to-invoice core now with a versioned checklist standard that gates every visit, bike records and parts inventory as they arrive on the roadmap, and your phones, books, hiring and training in the erp.io suite. For the bike-specific parts it is a longer-term choice, and we would rather you know that up front.
FAQ
Questions shop owners ask
Is BIKE.co a Jobber alternative for bike shops?+
Partly today, and more as the roadmap ships. The erp.io Service module was planned against Jobber feature by feature, with bike records and parts inventory added. Requests, quotes, work orders, scheduling, time tracking, checklists and invoicing are live; online booking, the client portal, texting, online payments and job costing are on the roadmap.
Does BIKE.co have Tap to Pay like Jobber?+
No. BIKE.co's field app is web only, so Tap to Pay is out. In-field payment is planned as a Stripe pay link, a QR code on the mechanic's screen or card entry.
Does BIKE.co have a native mobile app?+
No. The field app is an installable web app with camera and signature in the browser, and it keeps working with no signal. Web push is planned. There is no App Store or Play Store app and no background GPS.
Does Jobber track parts inventory?+
Jobber's product updates describe stock tracking through a marketplace integration with Ply. BIKE.co plans native parts inventory with stock by location and purchase orders in phase P8.
Can I move my Jobber checklists into BIKE.co?+
You can rebuild them today with the Service checklist builder, which uses the same eight question types. An automated Jobber importer is planned but not built.
